Throwback Thursday – Some of the Birds in our Hood

Last week, I did a post featuring the blue hued feathered friends who visit our yard after a dear blogging friend mentioned over on Instagram that her husband was jealous that I have so many blue birds in my little corner of the world.

It was apparently a hit in her household, so I thought it would be fun to do more bird collection type posts. I started looking in my archives for all the different types of visitor to the Avian Eatery (my fancy name for my bird feeders…lol).

Nine million hours later, I realized this was a much bigger task than I imagined! Geez, I take a lot of pictures! 😂

I have a couple of ideas of how I want to proceed. For now though, here are the first twenty five I picked to represent some of the varieties that hang out around here.

Juncos and Finches and Jays – oh my!

  1. I have some bird feed and we generally fill up our feeder and in a day it’s completely gone. Cats love watching the mischief I am sure there are squirrels and the like too. I noticed our packaging said it would attract a titmouse. I knew it was a bird but ohhhh its time it a cute little bird! That is for showing one!!
