Happy Tarot Tuesday! Here’s a free reading for the Week of July 17th, 2018

Before I get started with my reading for the week of July 17th 2018, I wanted to do a quickly mention that there’s a burgeoning community on Steemit called @steemittarot. Interested and want to know more? This is the post you’re looking for… (h/t Obi Wan Kenobi )

Introducing the Steemit Tarot community!

Additionally, you’re welcome to check out the feed over at @steemittarot or the hash tag #tarottuesday for some awesome Tarot posts from amazing Steemians. I’ve also started doing a weekly wrap-up post each Wednesday, so you can find all the Tarot Tuesday offerings in one place.

Speaking of offerings, now here’s mine…

Happy Tarot Tuesday!

Firstly, here’s a little run down on how I put these readings together each week –

I use my very old & extremely well-loved Universal Waite Smith Tarot Deck to draw the cards. Then, because the cards are definitely not ready for their closeup, I photograph the cards using my stand-in Radiant Deck. Oh, and yes – it’s a new picture of the back of the cards every week.

Now for the reading. Here’s how it works – pick the card (or cards) that you’re drawn to, then scroll to the bottom of this post for the card reveal and my short interpretation of what to expect in the upcoming week. If more than one strikes your fancy, go for it! I’ve had people tell me they pick all three cards each week, and use this as a mini past/present/future reading! 😊

Do you know which one (or ones) you want? Then it’s time to scroll to the bottom of the post for the big reveal!

And to make sure you didn’t get the reveal before you picked your card, I’m using one of the bazillion quotos I created over the past few years, using my photography and quotes other people provided, as a kind of spacer (and many thanks to @amariespeaks for inspiring this, since she uses her incredibly cool original word art from her Instagram for people to scroll past on her wicked awesome Tarot Tuesday posts).

Could I have a drum roll, please and thank you?

July 17th 2018 Tarot Front

1. Nine of Pentacles

Retreat from the world. You deserve a break today, so get up and get away, to … nope, not that place. Unless, of course, you go grab a bag of Mickey D’s and bring it someplace to enjoy in solitude because up next on the menu is, “Escape, with a side of pampering.” It can be as fancy as a day of mani pedis and wine, or as simple as a quiet room with a great book (the chocolate and coffee go without saying). Indulge, indulge, indulge – plenty of time for reality tomorrow.

2. Seven of Wands

Never give up, never surrender. You’ve been fighting the good fight, and thought you were almost there. Now, all of a sudden, you feel like you’re being attacked on all sides. Don’t despair – keep on keeping on, and you will soon find victory at hand. Try to bear in mind that people are probably giving you such a hard time because they want what you have (financially or creatively). Jealousy tends to bring out the worst in people. Oh, and yes – “Never give up, never surrender” is a quote from, “Galaxy Quest.” *grin*

3. Six of Wands

You did it! You had a rough go of it, and tons of competition (not to mention complications), but you pulled it off. However, you’re feeling a bit like William Thatcher/Sir Ulrich von Liechtenstein – either you feel someone else is getting the credit (in William’s case, his alias), or maybe you don’t feel you’re worthy. You totally kicked butt, and it’s time to own it! Stand tall and appreciate what you accomplished – you did yourself proud! Keep in mind what was said in the movie

“Young William Thacher: Some day, I’ll be a knight.
Man in Stocks: A Thachers son? A knight? You might as well try to change the stars!
Young William Thacher: Can it be done father? Can a man change the stars?
John Thatcher: Yes William. If he believes enough, a man can do anything.
