Happy Tarot Tuesday! Welcome to another one of my weekly tarot card readings. I started posting these free readings monthly back in late 2015, and switched to weekly in early 2016. They are by far my most popular posts, as well as being one of my favorites to put together. The reading today is for the week of October 15th 2019.
Since I do mine are a little different than some other readers on other social media (although it’s definitely not my original idea – I was actually inspired by a couple other WordPress bloggers), here’s a quick rundown on how this works…
First, pick a card you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. You can even pick all three!
When you’ve decided on your card (or cards), scroll down to the bottom of the page for the photo revealing the card faces, and your message for the upcoming week.
Also, don’t be worried if you don’t happen to see this exactly on Tuesday. The message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here. 😊
I should also mention…
Here are the backs of the cards (and yes, it’s a new picture every week). Take a moment to center yourself and focus. When you’re ready, look at the photo and then decide which one (or ones) speaks to you. After that, scroll down to the bottom of the post for your message.
Now to make sure you don’t see the picture of the front of the cards before you’ve made your choice, I’m adding a graphic here as a bit of a spacer/spoiler prevention. Since the beautiful New England fall weather this week has brought out a horde of lady bugs (as it does most years, but this year seems to be particularly intense, numbers wise), I thought it would be a good time to share this infographic I put together for a post a couple years ago.
Time now for the big reveal! Here are the front of the cards…
…and the messages for each card are…
Believe in yourself. People have told you time and time again that you couldn’t do it alone, because you weren’t (strong, smart, tough) enough. Nonsense! As Glinda said to Dorothy, “You don’t need to be helped any longer. You’ve always had the power to go back to Kansas.” Okay, maybe a visit to Auntie Em and Uncle Henry’s farm isn’t on your wish list, but you have the courage and compassion to tame the beast of self-doubt.
Tarot Tidbit: The Strength card was last seen, also in the first position, back in the spring on May 7th, 2019.
2. The Sun
Bask in the rays! It’s that glorious moment when Dorothy opens the door and steps into Oz for the first time. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and you can see the path before you (not to mention, the wicked witch hasn’t shown up yet with her downer, shoe stealing vibes). Enjoy this moment to the fullest, and maybe even to spread the rays of sunshine to the people around you with a random act of kindness or two. It’s the time to say, “goodbye to my weakness/ so long to the regret/ and now I see the world through diamond eyes!”
Tarot Tidbit: The Sun card was last seen, also in the second position, a couple months ago on August 6th, 2019.
3. The Star
Make a wish. You’ve been to hell and back, but now is the time to put that all behind you. While you can’t (and shouldn’t) erase all the memories of the bad times, it’s within your power to make a positive change for the future. Remember, sometimes luck ain’t enough, you’ve got to make your own breaks. Look at the twinkling light in the darkness, close your eyes, and see your wish as already manifested. Can’t find the light? Pick up the closest mirror – this card is also a reminder that the one who is responsible for bringing the most light into our lives is ourselves.
Tarot Tidbit: The Star card was last seen, also in the third position, a couple months ago on August 6th, 2019.
Extra Tarot Tidbit: I think the Aries Full Moon had something to do with this powerful draw! Interesting that they all appeared in the same spots as their last appearance too. Also, once again we had a case of card buddies (a term I made up for cards that previously showed up in readings together). The last time that The Sun and The Star cards appeared, it was in the same spots on the same day in August. And while this isn’t a case of card buddies, I thought it was cool that two cards that I referenced the Wizard of Oz for (and I think that might be the only time I’ve picked the same movie for two different interpretations) showed up together. I’m not sure if any of that holds any significance for anyone, but I wanted to mention it, in case it did.
I hope you enjoyed your message for the week of October 15th 2019! Bright blessings to you!
