Tarot Tuesday reading for the week of November 24th 2020

Welcome to another one of my Tarot Tuesday posts! I started doing these free readings monthly back in late 2015, then switched to every week in early 2016. They’re by far my most popular posts, as well as being one of my favorites to put together. Today’s reading is for the week of November 24th 2020.

It doesn’t seem possible that Thanksgiving will be here on Thursday, and while staying home and having dinner with only the five of us isn’t all that unusual (weather and other illnesses have interfered with plans a few times in recent years), it definitely has a different vibe this year. However, there are many reasons for me to be thankful, and I’m glad for a reason to be reminded. For those of you who celebrate, I wish you many abundant blessings now and in the coming year.

And now with that said, it’s time to start the reading. The setup of how I do these was not my original idea – I was actually inspired by how a few other bloggers were doing their readings back years ago. And since this method is a little bit different than how some other readers on other social media do them (usually posting the card backs first, then the messages at a later time), here’s a quick breakdown on how this works…

First, pick a card you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. You can even pick all three, in whatever order you like!

When you’ve decided on your card (or cards), scroll down to the bottom of the page for the photo revealing the card faces, and your message for the upcoming week.

Also, don’t be worried if you don’t happen to see this exactly on Tuesday. The message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here. 😊

I would also like to mention…

disclaimer

Now here are the backs of the cards for this week. Take a moment to clear your mind, inhale and exhale deeply, center yourself – whatever you need to do to focus. When you’re ready, take a look at the photo and then decide which one (or ones) speaks to you. Then scroll down to the bottom of the post for the picture of the front of the cards, and your message.

Next up, as a bit of insurance policy to make sure you don’t see the picture of the front of the cards before you’ve made your choice, I’m putting some of my infographics here as a type of spacer/spoiler prevention. Since, as I already mentioned, this is Thanksgiving week, I thought I’d tweak an infographic to replace the one I did way, way waaaaay back on February 25th, 2015 for my Witchy Wednesday post, A Witchy Food Blessing. I originally found this in Margie McArthur’s book, Wiccacraft for Families when our three were teeny tiny, and over the years we’ve changed the words a little bit. Once thing that hasn’t changed is that it always makes us smile, even if we only sit down a few times a year at the table together and say it.

Now it’s time for the big reveal! Here are the fronts of the cards…

…and the messages for each card are…

1. The Hierophant

The Mystic. When you’re in the middle of a crisis, and you feel like you’re all alone, this card is a reminder that all of your ancestors, your community, your family (blood or chosen) are still there with you, even if you can’t see or feel them. I like to think of this as the Mr. Miyagi card – someone who steps in and teaches you the knowledge you need to stop the bullies. Sometimes though, this card shows up for me when I get a little too wrapped up in the “right” and traditional way of doing something. It means I need to remember to honor the spirit of the ritual, and not sweat the details.

Tarot Tidbit: The Hierophant was last spotted, in the first position, during this past summer, on August 11th, 2020. On a personal note, while I try to draw the weekly cards on Sunday, this week (which has been busy for a myriad of reasons) I didn’t get to draw them until late Monday evening. I’d also drawn the Hierophant as my daily card earlier in the day. It’s not often my daily coincides with one of the weekly draws, so I thought it was worth a mention.

2. Temperance

Work towards unity. Sometimes it feels like you’re trying to blend oil and water together, and no matter how hard you stir, they stay separated. Don’t give up hope. With careful and thoughtful actions, you can finally bring together those things that are trying to push away. Keep in mind, like my favorite Tarot website says, “a bow and arrow are useless apart, but together a formidable weapon.”

Tarot Tidbit: Temperance was last seen, also in the second spot, back during the summer on August 25th, 2020. On June 30th 2020 I mentioned that Temperance seems to only come around once a year, but it seems to be coming around more frequently this year, given that this is its third appearance.

3. Queen of Pentacles

Nurture your dreams. Sometimes it’s hard to hang on to your vision for a brighter future, especially when it seems everything is going wrong and everyone is against you. But with a little confidence in yourself, and a lot of positive attitude, you can do this! Be the supportive and caring motherly type for your own self for a change, and keep in mind (as the saying goes), “Always be on the lookout for ways to turn a problem into an opportunity for success. Always be on the lookout for ways to nurture your dream.

Tarot Tidbit: The Queen of Pentacles was last spotted, in the second position, back at the beginning of the year, on January 14th, 2020. I also noted at that time that it was only the fourth time in all the years of doing Tarot Tuesdays that the Queen of Pentacles made an appearance, which means today is the fifth.

I hope you enjoyed your message for the week of November 24th! Bright blessings to you!

  1. I picked the hierophant this week. I was just going over notes for a coaching sessions for a client later today and was feeling challenged. Your words, “Sometimes though, this card shows up for me when I get a little too wrapped up in the “right” and traditional way of doing something.”, was exactly what I needed to hear. Thanks for being my divine messenger today. <3
