Welcome to another one of my Tarot Tuesday posts! I started doing these free readings monthly back in November 2015, then switched to every week almost a year later in September 2016. They’re by far my most popular posts, as well as being one of my favorites to put together. Today’s reading is for the week of March 23rd 2021.

Today also happens to be a rather auspicious day, as our youngest turns twenty-one! Even prior to this extraordinary year, our birthday celebrations have been extremely low-key, so at least the planned dinner & cake at home won’t be too out of the ordinary for her.

As for the reading – the setup of how I do these was not my original idea. I was actually inspired by how a few other bloggers were doing their readings back years ago. And since this method is a little bit different than how some other readers on other social media do them (usually posting the card backs first, then the messages at a later time), here’s a quick breakdown on how this works…

First, pick a card you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. You can even pick all three, in whatever order you like!

When you’ve decided on your card (or cards), scroll down to the bottom of the page for the photo revealing the card faces, and your message for the upcoming week.

Also, don’t be worried if you don’t happen to see this exactly on Tuesday. The message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here. 😊

Now here are the backs of the cards for this week. Take a moment to clear your mind, inhale and exhale deeply, center yourself – whatever you need to do to focus. When you’re ready, take a look at the photo and then decide which one (or ones) speaks to you. Then scroll down to the bottom of the post for the picture of the front of the cards, and your message.

Next up, as a bit of insurance policy to make sure you don’t see the picture of the front of the cards before you’ve made your choice, I’m putting some of my infographics here as a type of spacer/spoiler prevention. Since, as I already mentioned, it’s our youngest daughter’s birthday today, it only seems fitting to use a graphic I created with a picture of her when she was younger. I originally created this for a blog post back in 2017 (and that was an updated version of one from 2015) which talks about a family bedtime ritual we had for many years. The photo was taken on a family camping trip back in 2006 – hurts my brain to think that was almost fifteen years ago!

1. Page of Cups

The Look of Love. I think of this as the Romeo card – time to fall in love, either with a person, a story idea, a creative project, or something of that sort. You may also be receiving a message of love from someone – maybe not as overt as flowers and chocolate, but something to show they care. It could be as simple as a bringing you a fresh cup of coffee, or sharing a Facebook meme, that shows they are thinking of you. Artistically, it’s that moment of sudden inspiration, when you see your project in a new light, or a bizarre-yet-brilliant idea presents itself – go with it.

Tarot Tidbit: The Page of Cups was last seen, also in the first position, back in the fall on September 15th, 2020. And this makes the third time in a row its been in this same spot, since it was also here on September 8th 2020.

2. Temperance

Work towards unity. Sometimes it feels like you’re trying to blend oil and water together, and no matter how hard you stir, they stay separated. Don’t give up hope. With careful and thoughtful actions, you can finally bring together those things that are trying to push away. Keep in mind, like my favorite Tarot website says, “a bow and arrow are useless apart, but together a formidable weapon.”

Tarot Tidbit: Temperance was last seen, also in the second spot, back in the fall on November 24th, 2020. And this makes the third time in a row it’s been in the second position, as it was also here on August 25th, 2020.

3. The Hanged Man

Let go. Sometimes when you struggle to untie a knot, the more you pull at it, the tighter it gets. You’ve been tugging at a rope (an argument, a relationship, a situation) trying to get it untangled, but it’s only making things worse. Now it’s time to surrender, at least for a little while. Decide not to decide. Let things be for now. Do as the late, great John Lennon did when he was, “just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round, I really love to watch them roll. No longer riding on the merry-go-round, I just had to let it go.” You might even find that when you stop pulling, the knot releases on its own.

Tarot Tidbit: The Hanged Man was last seen, in the first position, back a couple months ago on January 19th, 2021. Prior to that, it was in the third position just the week before on January 12th, 2021.
