Tarot Tuesday reading for the week of March 16th 2021

Welcome to another one of my Tarot Tuesday posts! I started doing these free readings monthly back in late 2015, then switched to every week in early 2016. They’re by far my most popular posts, as well as being one of my favorites to put together. Today’s reading is for the week of March 16th 2021.

Once again, I’m posting this a bit early (like an hour after midnight in my neck of the woods) so I can shout out to my Hive friends, or anyone on Twitter interested in this blockchain I’m always babbling on about, that the next @hivechat will be at 8am EST today with a host who not only is a Chemical Engineer, travel blogger, and novelty seeker (who might be a bit psychic… 😂), he’s also a curator about a bazillion times over! Yes, none other than @ybanezkim26! Be sure to keep an eye on his Twitter account or the Twitter hash tag #HiveChat to check out the questions and join the discussion.

And now with that said, it’s time to start the reading. The setup of how I do these was not my original idea – I was actually inspired by how a few other bloggers were doing their readings back years ago. And since this method is a little bit different than how some other readers on other social media do them (usually posting the card backs first, then the messages at a later time), here’s a quick breakdown on how this works…

First, pick a card you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. You can even pick all three, in whatever order you like!

When you’ve decided on your card (or cards), scroll down to the bottom of the page for the photo revealing the card faces, and your message for the upcoming week.

Also, don’t be worried if you don’t happen to see this exactly on Tuesday. The message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here. 😊

I would also like to mention…

disclaimer

Now here are the backs of the cards for this week. Take a moment to clear your mind, inhale and exhale deeply, center yourself – whatever you need to do to focus. When you’re ready, take a look at the photo and then decide which one (or ones) speaks to you. Then scroll down to the bottom of the post for the picture of the front of the cards, and your message.

Next up, as a bit of insurance policy to make sure you don’t see the picture of the front of the cards before you’ve made your choice, I’m putting some of my infographics here as a type of spacer/spoiler prevention. Since the equinox is fast approaching (Ostara/Spring in the Northern Hemisphere and Mabon/Fall in the Southern), I’ve updated my graphics for both. You’re welcome to download these and share them on social media – while WordPress makes it difficult by only allowing you to save them in the WebP format, you can easily save them from my Hive blog, or from Pinterest. I put the pin links as the titles above each and the pin links back to my Hive post from six months ago, when the Autumnal and Vernal equinox were the other way round.

Now it’s time for the big reveal! Here are the fronts of the cards…

March 16th 2021, Front

…and the messages for each card are…

1. The Emperor

Father of all creation. This is the fundamental father – disciplined, stable, and the protector of all those he cares for. It’s now time time to take charge of things – handle those responsibilities you’ve let slide, structure your time more efficiently, and put up boundaries with people/situations who aren’t giving you the respect you deserve. Remember, sometimes it’s good to be king.

Tarot Tidbit: The Emperor hasn’t shown up much for Tarot Tuesdays – in fact, this is only the sixth time it’s appeared since its first time back in October of 2018! And this is only the second time it’s been in the first position, with the first time being the last time it was seen back almost two years ago on April 16th, 2019!

2. Six of Cups

Happier times. You’ve discovered, or rediscovered something you love. Maybe a hobby long forgotten, or a person you’re reconnecting with. You now recognize how much you care. This is the start of something beautiful and meaningful – cherish it. This may also be a reminder that if you’re in the middle of some dark times, and you’re longing for the the idyllic days in your past, stop wasting your energy wishing for what’s gone. Don’t look back – focus instead on the positive memories, and use them to inspire new ones.

Tarot Tidbit: The Six of Cups was last seen, in the third position, back in the fall on October 6th, 2020 (which also happened to be the day before our 31st wedding anniversary, and now we’re fast approaching the 21st birthday of our youngest in exactly a week!).

3. Eight of Wands

Fly like the wind. Nothing is holding you back now! You got your bow ready by laying the groundwork, and now you’re shooting like an arrow through the sky towards your goal. Things will happen very fast, but try to remember all the crazy busyness is leading you in a very positive direction. Remember what Merida (who knows a thing or two about arrows) said – “There are those who say fate is something beyond our command. That destiny is not our own, but I know better. Our fate lives within us. You only have to be brave enough to see it.” Stay focused on the bullseye, and you’ll hit your target in no time flat!

Tarot Tidbit: The Eight of Wands was last seen, in the first position, well over a year ago on February 11th, 2020. Prior to that, it was spotted in the third position on November 5th, 2019. and before that, it had been over a year since its last appearance.

I hope you enjoyed your message for the week of March 16th 2021! Bright blessings to you!
