Tarot Tuesday reading for the week of December 8th 2020

Welcome to another one of my Tarot Tuesday posts! I started doing these free readings monthly back in late 2015, then switched to every week in early 2016. They’re by far my most popular posts, as well as being one of my favorites to put together. Today’s reading is for the week of December 8th 2020.

Before I get started, I wanted to shout out about something first about the spoiler space graphic I shared last week. In the past few days, I noticed both posts I’ve done about the legend of the spider and tinsel (one in December 2014, and the other in December 2017) have been getting their yearly awesome traffic bump from Pinterest. In checking out the more recent post, I realized I’d done another version of the graphic that I’d completely forgotten about! I also discovered that while I keep saying that people are welcome to share my infographics, it’s not easy to download them from my WordPress blog (although you can from any of my Hive posts). So I’ve now added the updated versions to Pinterest, and I’ve shared both of them again today with links to their pins, to make them easier to share.

And now with that said, it’s time to start the reading. The setup of how I do these was not my original idea – I was actually inspired by how a few other bloggers were doing their readings back years ago. And since this method is a little bit different than how some other readers on other social media do them (usually posting the card backs first, then the messages at a later time), here’s a quick breakdown on how this works…

First, pick a card you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. You can even pick all three, in whatever order you like!

When you’ve decided on your card (or cards), scroll down to the bottom of the page for the photo revealing the card faces, and your message for the upcoming week.

Also, don’t be worried if you don’t happen to see this exactly on Tuesday. The message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here. 😊

I would also like to mention…

disclaimer

Now here are the backs of the cards for this week. Take a moment to clear your mind, inhale and exhale deeply, center yourself – whatever you need to do to focus. When you’re ready, take a look at the photo and then decide which one (or ones) speaks to you. Then scroll down to the bottom of the post for the picture of the front of the cards, and your message.

Next up, as a bit of insurance policy to make sure you don’t see the picture of the front of the cards before you’ve made your choice, I’m putting some of my infographics here as a type of spacer/spoiler prevention. As I said at the top of the post, here are the Christmas Spider graphics – first, the one I shared last week, with the Pinterest link…

Now it’s time for the big reveal! Here are the fronts of the cards…

…and the messages for each card are…

1. Seven of Wands

Never give up, never surrender. You’ve been fighting the good fight, and thought you were almost there. Now, all of a sudden, you feel like you’re being attacked on all sides. Don’t despair – keep on keeping on, and you will soon find victory at hand. Try to bear in mind that people are probably giving you such a hard time because they want what you have (financially or creatively). Jealousy tends to bring out the worst in people. Oh, and yes – “Never give up, never surrender” is a quote from, “Galaxy Quest.” *grin*

Tarot Tidbit: After saying during its last appearance a few months ago on September 1st, 2020 that the Seven of Wands seems to like the second spot (since it showed up there the three times prior), now here it is in the first position!

2. Four of Cups

Rethink your situation. You’re not happy with the way things are. In fact, you’re so focused on the things you wish you had, that you don’t see the very thing you want being offered to you. Take a step back and think about how you’re viewing the situation – stop sulking about what could have been, or what you might have had, and start appreciating what is, and the blessings you might not even recognize. And while this applies to all situations in your life, not just romantic ones, I think Survivor sums it up nicely with, “I was living for a dream, loving for a moment. Taking on the world, that was just my style. Now I look into your eyes, I can see forever. The search is over, you were with me all the while.

Tarot Tidbit: The Four of Cups was last seen, in the third position, also a few months ago, on September 29th, 2020. Prior to that, the last time it made an appearance was way back on Christmas Day, December 25th 2018!

3. King of Pentacles

Tried & true will get you through . This King is more a great overseer than a leader. He can take a step back and see the big picture, and employ practical solutions to reach his goals. This is what you need to do to create your prosperity – take a calm look around, focus on quality not quantity, and soon enough you’ll be saying, “Been dreaming of this since a child/I’m on top of the world/I’ve tried to cut these corners/Try to take the easy way out/I kept on falling short of something/I coulda gave up then but/Then again I couldn’t have ’cause/I’ve traveled all this way for something.” That something is within your grasp.

Tarot Tidbit: The King of Pentacles was last seen, in the first position, at the beginning of the year, on February 18th, 2020.

I hope you enjoyed your message for the week of December 8th 2020! Bright blessings to you!
