Welcome to another one of my Tarot Tuesday posts! I started doing these free readings monthly back in late 2015, then switched to every week in early 2016. They’re by far my most popular posts, as well as being one of my favorites to put together. Today’s reading is for the week of December 15th 2020.
Before we get started, a quick shout out to my Hive blockchain friends (or anyone that’s on Twitter and wants to check it out) that a short time after I post this, the next @hivechat will be taking place. Be sure to follow @eddiespino on Twitter or scan the Hive Chat hash tag on Twitter to join in the fun! Speaking of fun, don’t forget that at the end of this week, @hivefest will be taking place online – while it’s technically being held in VR (virtual reality) you don’t need special equipment to participate. I’ll be attending from my regular old computer with a pair of headphones – many thanks to @roelandp for coming up with such an awesomesauce way to hold Hive Fest 5! Be sure to check out his latest post for more details.
And now with that said, it’s time to start the reading. The setup of how I do these was not my original idea – I was actually inspired by how a few other bloggers were doing their readings back years ago. And since this method is a little bit different than how some other readers on other social media do them (usually posting the card backs first, then the messages at a later time), here’s a quick breakdown on how this works…
First, pick a card you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. You can even pick all three, in whatever order you like!
When you’ve decided on your card (or cards), scroll down to the bottom of the page for the photo revealing the card faces, and your message for the upcoming week.
Also, don’t be worried if you don’t happen to see this exactly on Tuesday. The message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here. 😊
I would also like to mention…
Now here are the backs of the cards for this week. Take a moment to clear your mind, inhale and exhale deeply, center yourself – whatever you need to do to focus. When you’re ready, take a look at the photo and then decide which one (or ones) speaks to you. Then scroll down to the bottom of the post for the picture of the front of the cards, and your message.
Next up, as a bit of insurance policy to make sure you don’t see the picture of the front of the cards before you’ve made your choice, I’m putting some of my infographics here as a type of spacer/spoiler prevention. Hard to believe but in less than a week, winter will officially be here in the Northern Hemisphere (and summer for my friends in the Southern). I’ve updated my Yule & Litha graphics, and have added them to Pinterest. As I mentioned last week, while I keep saying that people are welcome to share my infographics, it’s not easy to download them from my WordPress blog (although you can from any of my Hive posts). So I’m making a point of adding them to Pinterest, to make them easier to share.
Yule/Winter Solstice (Northern Hemisphere)
Litha/Summer Solstice (Southern Hemisphere)
Now it’s time for the big reveal! Here are the fronts of the cards…
…and the messages for each card are…
1. King of Pentacles
Tried & true will get you through . This King is more a great overseer than a leader. He can take a step back and see the big picture, and employ practical solutions to reach his goals. This is what you need to do to create your prosperity – take a calm look around, focus on quality not quantity, and soon enough you’ll be saying, “Been dreaming of this since a child/I’m on top of the world/I’ve tried to cut these corners/Try to take the easy way out/I kept on falling short of something/I coulda gave up then but/Then again I couldn’t have ’cause/I’ve traveled all this way for something.” That something is within your grasp.
Tarot Tidbit: The King of Pentacles was just here last week, December 8th 2020, in the third position. Prior to that, it hadn’t been seen since the beginning of the year (where it was also in the first position, on February 18th, 2020).
2. The Hermit
Time for quiet contemplation. You need solitude. Some quiet time to reflect on things without distractions. It could be as simple as 15 minutes alone in a room without electronics or interruptions. But this isn’t the time to rest or nap – this is a chance to actively listen to your inner voice and see what it’s saying to you. Try something like journaling or guided meditation, and see how loud the silence can be.
Tarot Tidbit: The Hermit was last seen, also in the second position, back during the summer on July 28th, 2020. Prior to that, it hadn’t been seen since September 10th, 2019, where it was in the first position.
3. The High Priestess
Time of secrets. You’ve suspected there have been forces working against you from behind the scenes for a while now. The good news – you’re right. The bad news – you still have no idea exactly what’s what. However, there’s a solution – before taking any action, start your own secretive action. Do some quiet research, listen to your gut, and then decide how you want to proceed. If you play your cards right, all will be revealed and, “You will see light in the darkness, you will make some sense of this. .”
Tarot Tidbit: The High Priestess was last seen, in the first position, over a year and a half ago on March 5th, 2019 in one of those somewhat rare (for me) three Majors readings (meaning all three cards were from the Major Arcana). Almost exactly a year before that, it was again spotted in the first position on March 13th, 2018.
I hope you enjoyed your message for the week of December 15th 2020! Bright blessings to you!
Thanks for stopping by!
