Hello and happy Tarot Tuesday! Here is your reading for the week of January 22 2019. Before we get started, I figured I mention that I do things a bit differently than some others on other social media, so if this is the first time you’ve visited one of my Tarot posts, it works like this –
First, pick a card you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. You can even pick all three!
After you’ve decided on your card or cards, you scroll down the page for photo revealing the card faces, and your message for the upcoming week.
Oh, and don’t be worried if you don’t happen to see this on the exact day. The message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here. 😊
Now, here are the backs of the cards for this week. Take your time deciding, and remember you can pick more than one if you feel drawn to them…
Next, to ensure you don’t accidentally see the card faces before you’ve made your choice, I’m using a picture as a kind of spacer/spoiler prevention. Given that we’ve had days of single digit weather here in New Hampshire, I figured I pick an a chilly image from my collection of quotos. This one that I created for my Quote Challenge in May 2017 definitely fits the bill.
Now it’s time for your message! Here are the faces of the the cards…
…and here are my interpretations for each…
1. Ten of Pentacles
Success is at hand. Good things are coming for you – you might find more money coming in (like a raise at work), an improved living situation (even as simple as a new piece of furniture), or an overall positive atmosphere in your home. This card also means that not all wealth is material – having a family (not necessary related by blood) and friends can enrich your life as well, if not better, than money itself. You’ve either found your tribe, or you’re about to, and it will be like coming home.
Tarot Tidbit: The Ten of Pentacles was last spotted, in the second position, way back on September 25th, 2018.
2. Queen of Swords
Cold hard truth. You’re getting caught up in emotions and speculation, so it’s no wonder you can’t make a decision. Sometimes you need to take a step back to gain some perspective. Try the “just the facts ma’am” approach – look at the situation from a practical, factual point of view, and see if the answer, as unappealing as it might be, appears. When this card shows up, I ask myself, “WWSD (what would Scully do?)” and remind myself that “Sometimes looking for extreme possibilities makes you blind to the probable explanation right in front of you.”
Tarot Tidbit: The Queen of Swords was last seen, in the third position, earlier this month for my New Years day Tarot Tuesday. Before that, she appeared in the third position to the Ten of Pentacles second position (the first card this week) also on September 25th, 2018.
3. The World
Journey’s End. You’ve been moving towards a goal, and after all your steps (and missteps), you’ve finally reached your destination. Don’t believe it? Think about where you were this time last year, and see how far you’ve come. This can also mean a sudden epiphany about your place in the grand scheme of things, and a desire to connect to a greater community. In either case, it’s time to celebrate, while also getting ready for your next journey (just like Seneca the Younger, and the song both say, “Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end”).
Tarot Tidbit: The World hasn’t been seen in a Tarot Tuesday post since May 29th 2018, where it was also in the third position.
Brightest of blessings to you in the week ahead!
Thanks for stopping by!
