Tarot Tuesday reading for the week of May 11th 2021

Welcome to another one of my Tarot Tuesday posts! I started doing these free readings monthly back in November 2015, then switched to every week almost a year later in September 2016. They’re by far my most popular posts, as well as being one of my favorites to put together. Today’s reading is for the week of May 11th 2021.

So yes, after posting daily (and twice a day on a few occasions with a handful of Hive exclusive blogs) this is my first post since my last Tarot Tuesday. While part of it is definitely recovering from a mega-post marathon, part of it is also that I’m recovering from another bit of a medical mystery. I don’t mean to be all cloak and dagger about it, I’m just not sure yet what’s going on, but since I mentioned it a bit in passing a few places (like here), I thought I’d take a minute to say that I’m okay and scheduling appointments to see if I can figure out what this new thing is – who knows, maybe I’ll get another blog post series out of it (bright side, right? 😂).

Enough with non-specific emo stuff (is VagueBooking still what the kids are calling it these days?) and on with the reading! I have to say, the setup of how I do these was not my original idea. I was actually inspired by how a few other bloggers were doing their readings back years ago. And since this method is a little bit different than how some other readers on other social media do them (usually posting the card backs first, then the messages at a later time), here’s a quick breakdown on how this works…

First, pick a card you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. You can even pick all three, in whatever order you like!

When you’ve decided on your card (or cards), scroll down to the bottom of the page for the photo revealing the card faces, and your message for the upcoming week.

Also, don’t be worried if you don’t happen to see this exactly on Tuesday. The message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here. 😊

I would also like to mention…

disclaimer

Now here are the backs of the cards for this week. Take a moment to clear your mind, inhale and exhale deeply, center yourself – whatever you need to do to focus. When you’re ready, take a look at the photo and then decide which one (or ones) speaks to you. Then scroll down to the bottom of the post for the picture of the front of the cards, and your message.

Next up, as a bit of insurance policy to make sure you don’t see the picture of the front of the cards before you’ve made your choice, I’m putting some of my infographics here as a type of spacer/spoiler prevention. Since today is also the New/Dark Moon in Taurus (as well as my late father’s birthday – happy birthday Dad! Miss you!), I thought I’d update some infographics for the occasion.

Now it’s time for the big reveal! Here are the fronts of the cards…

…and the messages for each card are…

1. Six of Swords

Leaving ain’t easy. . While new beginnings are typically seen as something joyous and exciting. sometimes they just plain hurt. Even if you’re the one who made the decision to leave a negative situation (job, relationship, home), it doesn’t mean you aren’t struggling with missing the familiar, positive aspects of what you’re walking away from. But you know this move is logically the best thing for all concerned – keep sailing towards the calm waters ahead, and as Queen said, “Leavin’ home ain’t easy/But may be the only way.”

Tarot Tidbit: The Six of Swords was last seen, in the third position, back during last fall on September 15th, 2020.

2. The Hermit

Time for quiet contemplation. You need solitude. Some quiet time to reflect on things without distractions. It could be as simple as 15 minutes alone in a room without electronics or interruptions. But this isn’t the time to rest or nap – this is a chance to actively listen to your inner voice and see what it’s saying to you. Try something like journaling or guided meditation, and see how loud the silence can be.

Tarot Tidbit: The Hermit was last seen, in the third position, just a few months ago on February 16th, 2021.

3. King of Wands

Take Charge Time. You have the intelligence, you have the determination. Now point that wand in the direction you want to go, and don’t even think about wavering from your path until you get to your destination. See that itty bitty little salamander in the bottom right corner of the card? Think of it as a baby dragon (since salamanders are associated with fire), who just needs encouragement and direction. Soon it will be a fiercesome force to be reckoned with, and you will be as formidable as the Mother of Dragons.

Tarot Tidbit: The King of Wands was last spotted, in the second position, also just a few months ago on February 9th, 2021.

I hope you enjoyed your message for the week of May 11th 2021! Bright blessings to you!
