Mother Nature was very kind to me last week, and kept the clouds away (for the most part) from the Full Harvest Moon last Monday, so I could take a picture or two. Or, in my case, close to 200 pictures over the course of a couple hours…LOL!
As you can see, I took a number of similar shots, with just the tiniest bit of difference (slightly different angle, adjusted exposure). None of these are filtered – the variations in color and sharpness are due to changes in zoom and exposure (I typically bounce the exposure bias around between 0 and -2 step). Oh, and these are all in the order I shot them in my Durham NH yard, in multiple trips outside starting at around 8:45pm, and finishing around 11pm.
All were taken with my Nikon COOLPIX P610 mounted on my tripod (yes, those are Amazon affiliate links – thanks for the pennies if you click through and order something!). There were far too many to caption (especially given I’m having a rather particularly difficult flare of my Essential Tremors), but I used numbers to differentiate each shot.
Feel free to shout out which ones you like best, and I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I did taking them!

These are amazing! Can feel the pull of that gorgeous moon. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks so much in return, Cristy!
Much as I love the detail of 27, 10 is my favourite.
Thanks, April – even though the detail wasn’t as sharp, I was happy with how mysterious it looked, with the bit of haze and clouds around it.
Exactly.
Beautiful shots
Thank you, Shilpa!
