Happy Tarot Tuesday! This reading is for the the week beginning today, December 11 2018. Before we begin, I just wanted to ask – how the heck is it almost 2019? Seems like just yesterday it was Thanksgiving, and now we’re 10 days away from Yule, and two weeks out from Christmas. Holy cannoli, Batman! And since both Christmas and New Year’s Day fall on Tuesdays, I figured I’d mention that I’m still planning to do Tarot Tuesday for both, so be sure to drop on by! 😊
Now, if you’re new to my Tarot posts, it works like this –
First, pick a card you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. You can even pick all three!
After you’ve decided on your card or cards, scroll on down the page for the card reveal and message for the upcoming week.
Also, don’t worry if you don’t happen to see it on the exact day. The message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here. 😊
Here are the backs of the cards…remember, you can pick more than one…
And just to make sure you don’t accidentally see the card faces before you’ve made your choice, I’m using a picture as a kind of spacer/spoiler prevention. I saw this graphic on Facebook a couple days ago, and knew I had to “steal” it for today. The gorgeous artwork was done by Ron Byrum and the prose was written by Magickal Moonie herself, Yvonne. I can’t think of a more beautiful pairing!
Now for your message reveal – the faces of the three cards are…
…and my interpretations are…
1. Two of Wands
Stay focused. You’ve put your plan into action, and you’re beginning to see all the possibilities before you. However, you might be tempted at this point to try a short cut in the hopes of speeding up the process. While it might pay off, sometimes it’s better to stand fast and remind yourself of what you’re working towards while continuing the slow and steady path to success. Take a moment to look at the big picture, and know that your ships are on their way in, and soon you’ll be the king of the world!
Tarot Tidbit: The Two of Wands was last spotted, in the third position, back on July 3rd, 2018.
2. Five of Pentacles
You are not alone. You’re lost. You’ve had a bunch of setbacks, and you feel like you have nothing left. No worries – there is help available, right around the corner, but you have to swallow your pride and ask. Things will be better soon, and you’ll definitely know who your true friends are. As Kate Bush said to Peter Gabriel, “Don’t give up ’cause you have friends. Don’t give up you’re not the only one. Don’t give up no reason to be ashamed. Don’t give up you still have us. Don’t give up now we’re proud of who you are. Don’t give up you know it’s never been easy. Don’t give up ’cause I believe there’s a place, there’s a place where we belong.”
Tarot Tidbit: The Five of Pentacles was last seen in the first position, back on June 5th, 2018.
3. Ten of Wands
The Burden. This card tends to show up for me when I’ve gotten caught in, “Fine, I’ll do it myself” mode. You know, when you think you need to do absolutely everything yourself, because no one else can do it the right way? And what happens when you do everything yourself? Yep, you get exhausted. All your creative juices are drying up. It’s time to put down the burden, and let someone else carry it for a while – even small, simple things, once delegated, will help you regain your spark. As the saying goes, “a burden shared is a burden halved.”
Tarot Tidbit: The Ten of Wands was last seen in the second position, as recently as November 6th, 2018.
I hope your message resonated for you. If not, maybe jot it down somewhere, then revisit it towards the end of the week and see if your perspective changes.
