Free Tarot Card Reading for the Week of May 16 2017

Welcome to Tarot Tuesday for the week of May 16 2017! My monthly free Tarot card readings were so popular, I decided to make them a weekly feature. If you want to catch the next one, be sure to follow my blog, stalk my Facebook, Twitter, or other social media (all my links are in the widget on the left). I shout out just about everywhere when I have a new post up.

For those wondering, I use my Universal Waite Smith Tarot Deck to draw the cards, but since it’s so well loved (I’ve owned it for a bazillion years), I then substitute my Radiant Deck for the photographs. Also, while it probably doesn’t need to be said, I’m saying it anyway – this is for fun, and my messages should never be a substitute for your own good judgement and common sense. In fact, that applies to most things in life – if your gut tells you it’s not right, always listen.

Oh, and since so many people have asked – yes, it’s absolutely okay (and wicked awesome!) to share this post! I have “Share this” buttons at the bottom of all my posts, and you’re welcome to post this on your wall, tweet, pin, stumble, tumble, or otherwise share this link to your social media of choice.

Now, on to the reading! Here’s a picture of the three I drew for today. Pick the card (or cards) that you’re drawn to, then scroll down to the bottom of this post for the card reveal and my short interpretation of what to expect in the upcoming week.

This!

1. Six of Wands

You did it! You had a rough go of it, and tons of competition (not to mention complications), but you pulled it off. However, you’re feeling a bit like William Thatcher/Sir Ulrich von Liechtenstein – either you feel someone else is getting the credit (in William’s case, his alias), or maybe you don’t feel you’re worthy. You totally kicked butt, and it’s time to own it! Stand tall and appreciate what you did – you did yourself proud! Keep in mind what was said in the movie – “Young William Thacher: Some day, I’ll be a knight. Man in Stocks: A Thachers son? A knight? You might as well try to change the stars! Young William Thacher: Can it be done father? Can a man change the stars? John Thatcher: Yes William. If he believes enough, a man can do anything.

2. The Devil

Check your chains. Take a look at the things you think are holding you back. You might find the chains are loose enough to escape from, and your captivity was an illusion all along. I also tend to draw this card I get when I need to do a reality check – like, how much am I overindulging in things (gaming, alcohol, chocola… wait a second, there’s no such thing as chocolate overindulgence! *grin*), or how uptight am I being (afraid to splurge, nervous to try new things). Now is the time for “Breaking the chains around you/Nobody else can bind you/Take a good look around you/Now you’re breaking the chains.

3. Five of Wands

Little fish meets big pond. You have that thing that you’re really good at, but lately you feel like you’re just one of many people who are good at it too. You’re afraid you don’t stand out from the competition. The bad news is, you’re right. The good news is, all you need to do is to get out there and battle for your spot. Once you’ve joined the fight for supremacy, you’ll get a sense of what you can do to make yourself stand out from all the others. Remind yourself, “in a world of Muggles, be Hermione“. Staying on the sidelines and bemoaning the fact that no one pays attention to you won’t get you the attention you want or deserve. Fight for it!

May 16 2017 Tarot. First, this is not a passive voice. Next, I am writing in an active voice. Therefore, my SEO will stop telling me how to write. Furthermore, these sentences are also shorter than twenty words. Rather, stop being so controlling. Especially since most of the sentences in this post are not mine. I will keep going while until you turn green. May 16 2017 Tarot. I can’t believe this is still orange. Finally, it has turned. Success! First, this is not a passive voice. Six of Wands. Too true as feeling “worthy” enough has always been a struggle for me. I did this, I deserve this….whatever. It wasn’t my first choice but changed it to one just before the I came to the description!
