WW – Tarot card reading

Over the past few weeks, I’ve noticed a Tarot card type trend with the witchy people I follow on Facebook and the Blogosphere. Many kindhearted and generous readers are offering either free one card readings, or posting three cards and revealing the interpretations later in the day. Two people in particular have inspired this post (well, technically three – I’ll explain in a minute).

First – usually, what happens in the Smart Witch community, stays in the Smart Witch community, but since the owner of Divine Inspiration: Spiritual, Nutritional and Lifestyle coaching posted about this on her Facebook page, I figure it’s okay to talk about it. She offered our community members free, one card readings (and given the response, I would highly recommend you check out her website or Facebook page, and see about buying a reading for yourself).

Second – Jade.wolfwriter.88 posted a blog entry called, 11.11 Scorpio New Moon…A message from the Oracle. In it, she presents pictures of three different cards (from the back) with various stones. You pick which card speaks to you, then scroll down to see the card face, along with a message from the Oracle.

Third-ish – While I’ve been writing the latest novel in my Maeve Sawyer series, Maeve let me know she’s considering doing Tarot readings professionally (she had to quit her day job because, ghosts). I told her she could try doing it for this blog entry, and she told me to do it myself. Personally, I think she’s grumpy because I’ve been neglecting her the past couple of days, but no matter – here’s my attempt at offering a free, card of the day reading to you, my dear readers.

Here’s a picture of the three cards I drew a short time ago, from my Universal Waite Tarot Deck. Pick the one that resonates with you, then scroll down for the card and my short interpretation.

Tarot card front

My interpretation, based on what I’d think if I drew this as my daily Tarot Card.

1. Page of Cups – Yay! I think of this as the Romeo card – time to fall in love, either with a person, a story idea, a creative project, or something of that sort. You may also be receiving a message of love from someone – maybe not as overt as flowers and chocolate, but something to show they care. It could be as simple as a bringing you a fresh cup of coffee, or sharing a Facebook meme, that shows they are thinking of you.

2. Three of Swords – Yikes! Every time I see this card as my daily, that’s the first word that pops into my head. Today is going to be a day of finding out things you really don’t want to hear, but in the end, they will be extremely healing. Like lancing a wound, you will get some pretty cutting truths, but at least you will finally have the facts, even if they aren’t the ones you want. Let the poison in your heart drain out, then you can begin to heal.

3. Ace of Cups – Yes! The cup of inspiration! You are getting ideas, thoughts, tentative plans, maybe even considering a new love (be it person or artistic endeavor). You have a sense of something percolating just under the surface. It’s not your imagination. You’ve been thirsty for something, and now you’re getting a taste of what you want. Go for it.

So, how did I do? Please be sure to shout out in the comment section, and let me know what you thought. If there’s enough interest, I might give this a shot again in the future.

    1. You and me both, woman – it was my daily draw today. I’ll let you know when the blanket fort is finished, and you can come over and hide with me. *grin*

I think this NaNo is giving me the framework I need to finally get the books polished and published. Especially since I’ll have some down time coming up very soon. Thanks for dropping in, dear friend! 🙂
