WW – Celebrating Cunningham

Sometime in the early 90s, hubby found a book called, “Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner” by Scott Cunningham. We were just beginning to explore the idea of Wicca, in those dark days before the interwebs, and weren’t exactly sure what it was all about. I started reading it that night. For the first time ever (and definitely not the last), I continually interrupted hubby’s own reading to recite various passages to him (“Oh, this is wicked cool! Listen to this, babe.”). By the time I finished, I felt like I’d come home.

This coming Saturday, March 28th, marks the 22nd anniversary of his passage, far too young, to Summerland. To commemorate this, I decided to take five of his quotes and spells, and combine them with my photographs. I hope you find his words as inspiring as I do.

Tree quote
“Any evil spell against this place or against the one who rents it, will be scattered for apace and returned to the one who sends it. I now invoke the law of three. This is my will, so mote it be.” ~ Scott Cunningham “Read as much as you can, discarding negative or disturbing information. Learn by doing, and the Goddess and God will bless you with all you truly need.” ~ Scott Cunningham A Money Rune Spell – “With clove or cinnamon oil, trace the money rune on the largest denomination bill you have. Put this in your wallet or purse and resist spending it for a long as possible. Every time you look at the bill, visualize the rune to reinforce its power.” ~ Scott Cunningham “Magic is natural. It is a harmonious movement of energies to create needed change.” ~ Scott Cunningham

  1. Great post…isn’t it wonderful when one gets that feeling of ‘Yessss! That’s it!’ and one comes home. 🙂
