Witch Quote Challenge for National Photography Month 2017 – Week 3 results

Welcome to my Witch Quote Challenge Week 3 results! If you missed my post earlier this month, this is what I decided to do for National Photography Month

The long and short of it – leave a comment below with a witch related quote, and I’ll pair it with one of my photographs, and post the result the following week. It can be a phrase from your favorite witchy author, a short spell or ritual, or a saying that really resonates with you. If you’re a blogger, be sure to leave a link as well, so I can give you a shout out. If you can’t think of anything this week, no worries – I’ll post results and ask for more quotes each Wednesday in May.

Thank you to everyone who sent me amazing words to pair with my pictures so far – I’m having so much fun! This week, since I forgot to pester remind people to submit, I decided to search out a few of my own, and came up with a spell, a symbolic meaning, and a quote.

I’m also pinning all the graphics on one of my Pinterest boards – please feel free to share them! Be sure to leave your own favorite quote in the comment section, and tune in again next week to see what I came up with.

Now, on to the graphics!

A Gardener’s New Moon Spell by Llewellyn author Dallas Jennifer Cobb

“A New Moon in spring is the time for amazing new beginnings. It is a time for drawing, attracting, and seeding. Diana, goddess of the waxing and New Moon, will work with you as you plant seeds for summer’s abundance—literally and symbolically. In the mundane world, soak your seeds tonight for planting tomorrow in tiny peat pots. These seeds will produce this summer’s harvest. In the magical realm, state your clear intention of what you want to seed, sprout, grow, blossom, and come to fruit in the season ahead. Focused, detailed, and filled with belief, state your intention as though it exists now. Whether you have a greenhouse where you can start real plants, or if you plant seeds in the spiritual realm, know that what you sew now will grow with the Moon, the months and the seasonal cycle:

As I sew my seeds tonight,
Diana guide my magic rite.

Planting goodness, planting peace,
Diana goddess be with me.
Tiny seeds will always grow,
I know the power of this I sew.
That it will grow to flower and feed,
Let goodness grow from what I seed.”

Ladybug Symbolism

“”Ladybug’s appearance signals new happiness, often with material gains. A renewed sense of well being occurs, and higher goals and new heights can be more easily attained over the following months. Worries will begin to dissipate… [The number of spots] often indicates the number of gifts and wishes that will be fulfilled in the future. In the tarot deck, the nine of cups is the “wish card,” and no animal reflects the qualities of this card more than the ladybug. Whether a wish for love, job, or the fulfillment of a dream, Ladybug signals a time in which there will be opportunity to purse and capture what we’ve asked for in our lives.” ~ Ted Andrews, The Animal Wise Tarot page 155.

Moon Quote

“At the twilight, a moon appeared in the sky;
Then it landed on earth to look at me.
Like a hawk stealing a bird at the time of prey;
That moon stole me and rushed back into the sky.
I looked at myself, I did not see me anymore;
For in that moon, my body turned as fine as soul.
The nine spheres disappeared in that moon;
The ship of my existence drowned in that sea.”

One last thing before you go

A dear friend suggested I add this to my posts for the next week or so. I discovered last week, much to my surprise, that I’ve been nominated for a blogging award in the 3rd Annual Bloggers Bash Awards! While there’s no chance I can attend the festivities in London (and given my competition, equally as doubtful I’ll have to write an acceptance speech), just the fact my humble little blog in included has me over the moon!

If anyone wants to cast a vote for me, here’s the link (I’m in the category, “Hidden Gem”) –

http://sachablack.co.uk/2017/05/18/2017-annual-bloggers-bash-awards-voting-open-bloggersbash-bloggersbash/

All you need to do is check off your choice, then hit the “VOTE” button – no email or photo ID needed. *grin*

Thanks to everyone who nominated me, and extra thanks to all those who visit, comment, share, and encourage me over at my little corner of the interwebz!

Witch Quote Challenge Week 3. First, this is not a passive voice. Next, I am writing in an active voice. Therefore, my SEO will stop telling me how to write. Furthermore, these sentences are also shorter than twenty words. Rather, stop being so controlling. Especially since most of the sentences in this post are not mine. I will keep going while until you turn green. Witch Quote Challenge Week 3. I can’t believe this is still orange. Finally, it has turned. Success! First, this is not a passive voice. 1. This was one of our wedding readings 🙂
    We’re all a little weird. And life is a little weird. And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall into mutually satisfying weirdness—and call it love—true love.

  2. Have 2:

    “walls will find us in this life. Walls and fences and so many reasons to give up, give in. It’s up to us, us and only us, to climb them, to cling to them like leaves and grow anyway. Let the light shine through, for there are always cracks. Grow, grow defiant against the walls that tower around you, the fences that lock you in.”
