Wednesday Walk with my crow

This is the first winter I’ve gone through since my Essential Tremor diagnosis, and to put it bluntly, it sucked. I’ll spare you the gory details (in this post, anyway… 😂 ) so I’ll simply say my ability to wander around our yard with my camera has been a bit challenging.

I did manage some new pictures in January, but since then, I’ve only taken a few dozen shots, and my subject matter has been solely our rescue cat (and I still need to do an update post about him). However, a short time ago, I heard a call outside my bedroom window. A call I haven’t heard in months and months and months.

Yep, my crow dropped by for a visit.

I didn’t get many shots, and the ones I got weren’t great, but just being outside in the (slightly above freezing) fresh air gave me hope that spring is actually on the way, and my body might start behaving a bit better. And that Angel the Crow might still love me, and will stop being such a brat stranger.

Oh, and be sure to check out @tattoodjay‘s latest post called Wednesday walk challenge Bryant Park and Steem Basic Income Give away for more information about his weekly wanderings, as well as some beautifully chilly captures of a park in NYC.

Now, on to my new shots!

Through the window, when I first heard him hollering.

Now that he’s got my attention…

…he decides to fly away…

…all the way over to the next tree branch.

Naturally, when I headed outside, he’d moved yet again.

Guess he wanted a good vantage point to watch for me…LOL

Sitting pretty on the tree top

But after a few minutes, he heard another crow calling in the distance, and took off to investigate.

He was a little too fast to catch in flight, but I still managed a decent shot of the cloudy sky.
