Tarot Tuesday reading for the week of May 18th 2021

Welcome to another one of my Tarot Tuesday posts! I started doing these free readings monthly back in November 2015, then switched to every week almost a year later in September 2016. They’re by far my most popular posts, as well as being one of my favorites to put together. Today’s reading is for the week of May 18th 2021.

I do have a quick favor to ask everyone. As I mentioned rather vaguely in my post yesterday, my mother is currently having some health issues, and the next few days will be rather challenging for our family (and apologies for not being more direct about what’s going on, but I’m not sure how much she wants me to share publicly, so erring on the side of caution for the moment). If anyone feels the urge to do so, sending healing thoughts, well wishes, and prayers to whatever deities you see fit to communicate with, would be greatly appreciated.

As for the reading – the setup of how I do these was not my original idea. I was actually inspired by how a few other bloggers were doing their readings back years ago. And since this method is a little bit different than how some other readers on other social media do them (usually posting the card backs first, then the messages at a later time), here’s a quick breakdown on how this works…

First, pick a card you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. You can even pick all three, in whatever order you like!

When you’ve decided on your card (or cards), scroll down to the bottom of the page for the photo revealing the card faces, and your message for the upcoming week.

Also, don’t be worried if you don’t happen to see this exactly on Tuesday. The message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here. 😊

I would also like to mention…

disclaimer

Now here are the backs of the cards for this week. Take a moment to clear your mind, inhale and exhale deeply, center yourself – whatever you need to do to focus. When you’re ready, take a look at the photo and then decide which one (or ones) speaks to you. Then scroll down to the bottom of the post for the picture of the front of the cards, and your message.

Next up, as a bit of insurance policy to make sure you don’t see the picture of the front of the cards before you’ve made your choice, I’m putting some of my infographics here as a type of spacer/spoiler prevention. I thought I’d switch things up a bit and actually instead of sharing infographics, I thought I’d share a few of pictures I’ve taken in recent years that are my mother’s favorites (to the point I’ve put some of them on greeting cards for her).

Now it’s time for the big reveal! Here are the fronts of the cards…

…and the messages for each card are…

1. Four of Cups

Rethink your situation. You’re not happy with the way things are. In fact, you’re so focused on the things you wish you had, that you don’t see the very thing you want being offered to you. Take a step back and think about how you’re viewing the situation – stop sulking about what could have been, or what you might have had, and start appreciating what is, and the blessings you might not even recognize. And while this applies to all situations in your life, not just romantic ones, I think Survivor sums it up nicely with, “I was living for a dream, loving for a moment. Taking on the world, that was just my style. Now I look into your eyes, I can see forever. The search is over, you were with me all the while.

Tarot Tidbit: The Four of Cups was last seen, also in the first position, just about a month ago on April 27th, 2021. And while it showed up a couple of times towards the end of last year (on December 8th, 2020 and September 29th, 2020) prior to that it hadn’t been seen since Christmas Day, December 25th 2018!

2. Queen of Pentacles

Nurture your dreams. Sometimes it’s hard to hang on to your vision for a brighter future, especially when it seems everything is going wrong and everyone is against you. But with a little confidence in yourself, and a lot of positive attitude, you can do this! Be the supportive and caring motherly type for your own self for a change, and keep in mind (as the saying goes), “Always be on the lookout for ways to turn a problem into an opportunity for success. Always be on the lookout for ways to nurture your dream.

Tarot Tidbit: The Queen of Pentacles was last spotted, in the first position, towards the end of last year on December 22nd, 2020. It’s also only the seventh time it’s shown up since I started doing these Tarot Tuesday posts back in 2015!

3. Wheel of Fortune

Lady Luck is smiling! Oh wait – that should be, “The Goddess Who Must Not Be Named.”*grin* Regardless, your luck is changing! Not only are good things heading your way, but this card is a great reminder that when things aren’t going as you hoped, just be patient for the wheel to turn back around again. Stay as positive as possible, focus on the bright side of things, then (and this is the most important thing), take some steps to make a change. Soon enough, the wheel will spin back around and you’ll appreciate being up all the more for having been down.

Tarot Tidbit: The Wheel of Fortune hasn’t been seen in close to a year! The last time it was in the first position, back on June 2nd, 2020. And before that, it hadn’t been spotted in almost another year, with its prior appearance being on July 23rd, 2019.

I hope you enjoyed your message for the week of May 18th 2021! Bright blessings to you!
