Tarot Tuesday reading for the week of June 1st 2021

Rabbit, rabbit and welcome to another one of my Tarot Tuesday posts! I started doing these free readings monthly back in November 2015, then switched to every week almost a year later in September 2016. They’re by far my most popular posts, as well as being one of my favorites to put together. Today’s reading is for the week of June 1st 2021.

Last week I mentioned that my mother was having surgery at some point on Tuesday the 25th. While I did a little bit of an update on my Hive blog when I announced some contest winners, it didn’t occur to me until now (Monday night) that I didn’t update everyone else like I planned, when I did my Full Flower Moon post (which I obviously haven’t finished yet…lol!). So long story short, my mother’s very tricky surgery went even better than we could have hoped! She’s still in the hospital recovering, and will probably head to rehab/recovery facility (the post surgical type, not the addiction sort) for a week or two to get her steadier on her feet while making sure she doesn’t have any complications. But all things considered, we couldn’t have asked for a better outcome so again, many many thanks to all the awesome people who shouted out with words of encouragement, get well wishes, and prayers for her recovery. It worked! ❤️

Now as for the reading – the setup of how I do these was not my original idea. I was actually inspired by how a few other bloggers were doing their readings back years ago. And since this method is a little bit different than how some other readers on other social media do them (usually posting the card backs first, then the messages at a later time), here’s a quick breakdown on how this works…

First, pick a card you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. You can even pick all three, in whatever order you like!

When you’ve decided on your card (or cards), scroll down to the bottom of the page for the photo revealing the card faces, and your message for the upcoming week.

Also, don’t be worried if you don’t happen to see this exactly on Tuesday. The message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here. 😊

I would also like to mention…

disclaimer

Now here are the backs of the cards for this week. Take a moment to clear your mind, inhale and exhale deeply, center yourself – whatever you need to do to focus. When you’re ready, take a look at the photo and then decide which one (or ones) speaks to you. Then scroll down to the bottom of the post for the picture of the front of the cards, and your message.

Next up, as a bit of insurance policy to make sure you don’t see the picture of the front of the cards before you’ve made your choice, I’m putting some of my infographics here as a type of spacer/spoiler prevention. Like the recent Super Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse weren’t enough, Mercury Retrograde started on May 29th and will go on until June 22nd. But as I always say, don’t fear it – put a positive spin on it instead! So it seemed fitting to include a couple of my Mercury Retrograde infographics here today.

Now it’s time for the big reveal! Here are the fronts of the cards…

…and the messages for each card are…

1. The Star

Make a wish. You’ve been to hell and back, but now is the time to put that all behind you. While you can’t (and shouldn’t) erase all the memories of the bad times, it’s within your power to make a positive change for the future. Remember, sometimes luck ain’t enough, you’ve got to make your own breaks. Look at the twinkling light in the darkness, close your eyes, and see your wish as already manifested. Can’t find the light? Pick up the closest mirror – this card is also a reminder that the one who is responsible for bringing the most light into our lives is ourselves.

Tarot Tidbit: The Star was last seen, in the third position, almost exactly a couple of months ago on March 30th, 2021.

2. Knight of Pentacles

Keep your focus. You were so excited and full of energy when you took the first step on your new journey. Now you feel like you’ve lost your steam, and all you’re doing is trudging along, without getting any closer to your goal. Don’t give up hope! Stick to your plan, stay focused on the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, and remember what Amelia Earhart said – “The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely tenacity.”

Tarot Tidbit: The Knight of Pentacles was last seen, in the first position, almost three months ago, on March 2nd 2021. Prior to that, it hadn’t been seen in almost two years, with the time before being on May 28th, 2019.

3. Eight of Cups

A new journey. Change can be scary. But sometimes you need to just walk away from it all, and start down a different path. Time to get out of your comfort zone, and follow your gut instinct that there’s something better and more fulfilling out there. This can also mean that you feel you’ve given something (like a job, relationship, or creative endeavor) everything you’ve got, and you haven’t gotten anything in return. It’s okay to say, enough’s enough, leave it behind, and look for something new that speaks to your soul. As Brent Smith from Shinedown says, “Sometimes goodbye is a second chance.”

Tarot Tidbit: The Eight of Cups was last seen, in the first position, a little over a month ago on April 20th, 2021. Prior to that, it hadn’t been seen since last summer (on August 18th, 2020).

I hope you enjoyed your message for the week of June 1st 2021! Bright blessings to you!
