Tarot Tuesday reading for the week of June 16th 2020

Welcome to another one of my Tarot Tuesday posts! I started doing these free readings monthly back in late 2015, then switched to every week in early 2016. They’re by far my most popular posts, as well as being one of my favorites to put together. Today’s reading is for the week of June 16th 2020.

First, as I mentioned a few times recently, I’ve been working on updating the look of my WordPress blog. I haven’t done much with it since last week, but I still have a few more possible tweaks I might make. It also seems like the Adsense ads have stopped showing up all over the page and are now reduced to a single one, contained in a widget box on the right side of the page (or the bottom, if you’re viewing this on mobile). Please feel free to shout out if anything seems amiss, or if you have any comments about it so far.

Now to get on with the reading. The setup of how I do these was not my original idea – I was actually inspired by how a few other bloggers were doing their readings back years ago. And since this method is a little bit different than how some other readers on other social media do them (usually posting the card backs first, then the messages at a later time), here’s a quick breakdown on how this works…

First, pick a card you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. You can even pick all three, in whatever order you like!

When you’ve decided on your card (or cards), scroll down to the bottom of the page for the photo revealing the card faces, and your message for the upcoming week.

Also, don’t be worried if you don’t happen to see this exactly on Tuesday. The message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here. 😊

I would also like to mention…

disclaimer

Now here are the backs of the cards for this week. Take a moment to clear your mind, inhale and exhale deeply, center yourself – whatever you need to do to focus. When you’re ready, take a look at the photo and then decide which one (or ones) speaks to you. Then scroll down to the bottom of the post for the picture of the front of the cards, and your message.

Next up, as a bit of insurance policy to make sure you don’t see the picture of the front of the cards before you’ve made your choice, I’m putting some of my infographics here as a type of spacer/spoiler prevention. Here are a couple versions (for Pinterest and Instagram) of my Mercury Retrograde graphic, which I first shared on Hive yesterday. Oh, and please feel free to share!

Now it’s time for the big reveal! Here are the fronts of the cards…

…and the messages for each card are…

1. Ten of Wands

The Burden. This card tends to show up for me when I’ve gotten caught in, “Fine, I’ll do it myself” mode. You know, when you think you need to do absolutely everything yourself, because no one else can do it the right way? And what happens when you do everything yourself? Yep, you get exhausted. All your creative juices are drying up. It’s time to put down the burden, and let someone else carry it for a while – even small, simple things, once delegated, will help you regain your spark. As the saying goes, “a burden shared is a burden halved.”

Tarot Tidbit: The Ten of Wands was last seen, in the third position, a couple months ago on April 28th, 2020.

2. The Fool

Take that step! You have the chance to start down a new road, full of possibilities. Don’t second guess yourself – trust where this path is taking you, and make that leap! While you’ve been worrying that you’re not ready, and you still have to gather your things, just look – you’re already carrying everything you need with you. One word of caution – make sure you watch where you’re going. If you get caught up in the excitement, and start daydreaming while staring at the clouds, you may find yourself stepping off a cliff. Simply pay attention to your surroundings, put one foot in front of the other, and your journey will be magical.

Tarot Tidbit: The Fool was also last spotted just a couple months ago, again in the second position, on April 7th, 2020.

3. Eight of Swords

Time to get moving. You’re stuck. None of the choices available to you seem right, so you’ve stopped moving forward. You’re afraid that if you make the wrong one, you’ll get hurt. However if you stay put, the choices only get worse. Stop overthinking and take a step – yes, there might be a little owie, but soon you’ll be back on the right track, and the pain will be behind you. As the saying (which makes me sentimental for my hometown of Gloucester, MA) goes, it’s time to fish or cut bait.

Tarot Tidbit: After not being seen in almost a year, The Eight of Swords is back for the second time in a month. The last time it was in the second position, on May 12th, 2020.
