Hello everyone and welcome to another weekly Tarot Tuesday post, this time for the week of August 28th, 2018!
For those of you just joining us, I wanted to mention that there’s a wicked amazing Tarot community on Steemit. While you have to be a member of Steemit to comment and/or upvote, you don’t have to join to read posts.
For more info, check out the intro post for the @steemittarot account (created to curate all the cartomancy offerings in the community) at the link below.
Speaking of offerings, here’s mine!
Happy Tarot Tuesday!
First, a little background on how I put this reading together each week –
I use my very old & extremely well-loved Universal Waite Smith Tarot Deck to draw the cards. Then, because the cards are definitely not ready for their closeup, I photograph the cards using my stand-in Radiant Deck. Oh, and yes – it’s a new picture of the back of the cards every week.
Now, this is how the reading works. Pick a card that you are drawn to. If more than one strikes your fancy, go ahead – pick two! In fact, I’ve had some people tell me they pick all three cards each week, and use this as a mini past/present/future reading. After that, scroll down a bit for the card reveal and my short interpretation of what to expect in the upcoming week.
Remember, there’s no rush.
So, has the card (or cards) made itself known? Then it’s time for the big reveal!
And to make sure you don’t see the reveal before you picked your card, I’ve been using one of the bazillion infographics I’ve created over the years as a kind of spacer/spoiler preventer. Here’s one I did for a post in November 2017 –
Now it’s finally time for the big card reveal. Your message for this week is…
Could I have a drum roll, please & thank you…
1. Two of Cups
Makes the world go ’round. While it’s easy to see this is a card about love, what’s not so obvious is that it also represents other relationships, not just the romantic one between two (or more) people. This could be a recent furry/feathered addition to the family, a passion for a creative process (writing, painting, knitting), or even something as simple as discovering a new favorite show to binge-watch (like Farscape or Jessica Jones). It’s also a reminder that the first, most important love we should have is for ourselves. As the late, great Lucille Ball once said, “Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. You really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.”
2. The Lovers
Love. True love. You’ve found someone or something that speaks to your soul. Now comes the hard part – keeping that love going. See how (on the card) the man is looking at the woman, but she is staring at the angelic creature in the sky? He has to trust when she says she’s seeing it, and she needs to communicate what she sees. Trust and communication. If this is about your soul’s passion, you need to trust yourself and communicate with those involved. Did I mention trust and communicate? *grin*
3. Four of Wands
Celebrate your groundwork. It’s not done yet, but one of the most important steps – putting down the framework and laying the foundation – is complete. Maybe it’s a project, a relationship, or an actual home – in any case, it’s time to sit back for a bit, and celebrate this achievement. Things will only grow bigger and better from here. And keep in mind what David Brinkley said – “A successful man is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks others have thrown at him.”
I hope you enjoyed your message! Oh, and you’re always welcome to shout out in the comment section. Also, f you enjoyed this, please feel free to share. Bright blessings!
