MM – Happy Supermoon Monday

As I mentioned in my most recent Witchy Wednesday, today is the Super Full Moon (aka, the vaguely heroic sounding Supermoon). I managed to hobble outside last night to get some pictures, about 15 hours before it was officially full. I plan to make another trek tonight for some additional shots, which will probably be about 12 hours after. Here’s a handful of my captures so far, taken with my trusty Nikon and tripod. Happy Supermoon Monday!

Supermoon Monday. First, this is not a passive voice. Next, I am writing in an active voice. Therefore, my SEO will stop telling me how to write. Furthermore, these sentences are also shorter than twenty words. Rather, stop being so controlling. Especially since most of the sentences in this post are not mine. I will keep going while until you turn green. Supermoon Monday. I can’t believe this is still orange. Finally, it has turned. Success! First, this is not a passive voice. 1. I hope you had clear skies, Cristy! It started off wicked cloudy here in Southern NH, but she just peeked out for a few a short time ago. Happy moon gazing!

  1. That last image is incredible. You should put some of these up for sale. I can think of a lot of science teachers who would want that in their classroom.

  2. Beautiful photos! I saw it tonight and last night, but I always think the moon looks fullest the day before it’s actually full by the calendar. Bryce makes fun of me every time for saying that, but I think it’s true… you? I love those close up shots.

    1. There have been times I’d have sworn the moon was full, and found out it was two days away, so I completely get that! I’m pretty sure it also has to do with the timing of the moon turning full – if it falls right after midnight on a date, then moon rise hours before (and technically the previous day) would look fuller than moon rise on the date. I think. And thanks, Jess!
