FF – I heart Foto Friday 3

As I said last week, I like the idea of Foto Friday so much, I’m back with Foto Friday 3! While I don’t plan to turn Fandom Fridays into Foto Fridays exclusively, for the time being, this is a great way to share some of the gazillion pictures I’ve been taking with my new camera.

Before I get to the captures, I wanted to mention something photography-related that caught my attention earlier today. Apparently, Google has decided to release a photo editing software plugin package that used to retail for almost $500 (then for $149 when Google first bought the German company that created it) for free. I haven’t heard of it before, but I grabbed my copy, and I plan to play around with it over the next week or so. Here’s the official link, if you’re interested in downloading it for yourself – The Nik Collection

Now, on to the photos – these were all taken between March 19th and March 25th.

Special mention – I got a present from the Universe on our youngest’s birthday. For the first time since I started bribing… errr, feeding the handful of crows that live around here, I had a crow not only hang around while I was outside, but actually do a little preening and posing for the camera. Many of the shots were blurry, because I was ridiculously excited and didn’t have my tripod (he was still a fair distance away), but I’m very happy with this capture. I call it, “Angel Crow.” Thanks for the good birthday juju, my darling 16 year old!
