A few Goldfinches hanging around the house the other day

While parts of the Northeast did get hit pretty hard by that Four’easter, we were spared, for the most part, in the Seacoast NH area. The Goldfinches seemed particularly pleased with that development (as was I – LOL!), and they spent a great deal of time hanging around the Avian Eatery. I picked a dozen shots to share here with you.

Oh, and some of you (looking at those across the pond) will think, “Wait, these don’t look like Goldfinches!” That’s because these are American Goldfinches, not their European cousins, who look like this –

Last bit – these were all taken on March 21st, 2018, through the window of our Durham, NH house.

Goldfinches hanging around the house

Goldfinches hanging around the house. First, this is not a passive voice. Next, I am writing in an active voice. Therefore, my SEO will stop telling me how to write. Furthermore, these sentences are also shorter than twenty words. Rather, stop being so controlling. I will keep going while until you turn green. I can’t believe this is still orange. 1. I love goldfinches — they were one of the few birds that came to the feeder I used to have on my balcony, and it was always so lovely to see that flash of golden color! Wonderful pictures, Traci! πŸ™‚

  2. I had the first Robin of spring visit my yard today. But I know for sure spring is here when the first violet-green swallow scout shows up. Always love your photos Traci
