National Photography Month 2017 Quote Challenge Wrap Up

While I always enjoy doing these quote challenges, this year was especially fun! Thanks again to Suzanne for pointing me in the direction of Canva a few months back, and to Angela for suggesting I take the “quotos” (quotes + photos = quotos, according to Lori‘s awesome math) one step further. Per her request, I’m adding at least some of these to my Zazzle store – first as greeting cards, then hopefully as a calendar.

Oh, and reminder – I pinned all the graphics on a couple of my Pinterest boards. Monday’s results are on “Inspirational Quotes” and my Witchy Quotes are on the board, “My Witchy Graphics.” Please feel free to share them!

Now, here’s one more for now, from a blogging friend who already submitted some excellent quotes. Also wanted to mention – if you sent me a quote but didn’t see a graphic, please shout out and let me know. Someone on Ello mentioned they were bummed their quote didn’t make the cut, but I can’t find it anywhere (I’m guessing since I was late bribing the bandwidth fairies, they intercepted it and it’s now bouncing around in the clacks somewhere). It’s not too late to add your own – I plan to create more as they come in, either as a monthly thing, or whenever inspiration strikes, so go ahead and drop it in the comment section!

Quote Challenge Wrap Up. First, this is not a passive voice. Next, I am writing in an active voice. Therefore, my SEO will stop telling me how to write. Furthermore, these sentences are also shorter than twenty words. Rather, stop being so controlling. Especially since most of the sentences in this post are not mine. I will keep going while until you turn green. Quote Challenge Wrap Up. I can’t believe this is still orange. Finally, it has turned. Success! First, this is not a passive voice. 1. Aww, thanks Melissa! I managed to put together a last minute calendar last year, and I plan to do a similar one this fall. Now I’m thinking I might have a few versions (general wildlife photos, the moon, and quotes). Appreciate the kind words!

    1. I hadn’t either, Linda! It’s one of the reasons I love doing this – it’s a great way to discover new favorite quotes! 😀

    1. Thanks, Mel! It’s one of my favorite pictures, and seemed perfect for this on a number of levels – one being that I snapped this shot on December 1st of last year (during one of our weird, warm New England fall days), and I called it, “Black eyed Susan confused on the season.” I still can’t believe I can take shots this clear with only the macro lens that came standard with the camera – have I mentioned lately how much I love my Nikon? *grin*

    1. Oh, and I’m on my laptop (which is rare!), and I can see properly all your fabulous theme and layout here. It’s a shame that the WordPress mobile theme cuts all of it out 🙁

  1. Hooray!!!! I am so glad you decided to do this (and thanks for the shout out!) I’m buying some today. 🙂

  2. What is Canva? God forbid I google it on my own, right? I liked that quote! Also, thank you for being my 200th follower! I wish I had a sofa to give you like our new Ikea did for the first 44 customers. LOL!!!

    1. Coolness, Angela! Does this mean the next time I visit your blog, a bunch of confetti will drop on my head, and someone will shout out over the loud speaker, “Attention customers”… ? *grin*

Oh, and I can save you the trouble of Googling – just need to click the hyperlinked Canva name in the post (and spoiler alert – it’s where all the cool kids go to make blog graphics – no idea why they let me in).

Feel free to shout out!
