Quote Challenge for National Photography Month 2017 – Week 3 Results

Welcome to my Quote Challenge Week 3 results! If you missed my post in April, this is what I decided to do for National Photography Month

Here’s my challenge, and I’ll need your help, dear readers – please leave me one of your favorite quotes in the comment section below, and I’ll pair it with a picture I’ve taken. If you’re a blogger, be sure to leave a link as well, so I can give you a shout out. If you can’t think of anything this week, no worries – I’ll post results and ask for more quotes each Monday in May.

Thank you to everyone who has provided amazing words to pair with my pictures – I love doing this! I’m also pinning all the graphics on one of my Pinterest boards – please feel free to share them! Be sure to leave your own favorite quote in the comment section, and tune in again next week to see what I came up with.

Now, on to the graphics!

Quote Challenge Week 3 #MicroblogMondays
“Not sure what #MicroblogMondays is?
Read the inaugural post which explains
the idea and how you can participate too.”
~ Melissa S. Ford, Stirrup Queens

Quote Challenge Week 3. First, this is not a passive voice. Next, I am writing in an active voice. Therefore, my SEO will stop telling me how to write. Furthermore, these sentences are also shorter than twenty words. Rather, stop being so controlling. Especially since most of the sentences in this post are not mine. I will keep going while until you turn green. Quote Challenge Week 3. I can’t believe this is still orange. Finally, it has turned. Success! First, this is not a passive voice. 1. You’re very welcome, Ruth – thanks in return for participating, and giving me an excuse to search out old C&H comics online (research, so I could attempt to capture their vibe – LOL!). 😀

    1. Thanks, Lori! Even with all the options on Canva (the online graphic thingy I’m using to create these), It took me forever to be happy with the background – I ended up using oversized black arrows (with the pointy part over the margin) randomly spaced on an orange background to get the Hobbes effect! *grin*

  1. Beautiful.

I don’t know that this is still open but, my favorite quote is

“When life itself seems lunatic, who knows where madness lies? Perhaps to be too practical is madness. To surrender dreams — this may be madness. Too much sanity may be madness — and maddest of all: to see life as it is, and not as it should be!” — Don Miguel de Cervantes

    1. Thanks, JW! Yep, I’m doing this for the entire month of May, so I’ll have this put together for you next week! This is a gorgeous quote – I can’t wait to get started on it!

  2. I love this one: And though she be but little, she is fierce. I’ll think of birds whenever I hear that quote.

  3. I love these, and the whole idea of the challenge! One of my faves at the moment, due to my focus on self care is “When you say ‘yes’ to others, make sure you are not saying ‘no’ to yourself.” (Paul Coelho)

    1. You’re very welcome, and thanks in return, Debbie! That sassy little hummingbird is the first thing that came to mind when I saw your quote – so glad you love it! 😀

  4. Your photos show the beauty and the light in life. And since I’m on a mission to focus far more on what is good about the world and myself, this quote (taken from the notebook that I tweet about) comes to mind: “There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle, or the mirror that reflects it.” ~Edith Wharton

  5. Great idea with even greater quotes here! I hope you don’t mind I’d like to contribute to the challenge by leaving a little note:

“You can be a good person with a kind heart and still say no.”
    – Daniel Krascsenits

    Thank you for sharing,
    xx

  6. My license plate is actually “HERMIA” because that’s who they say the “fierce” quote about, and, though I be but little, I for damn sure am fierce. Confuses the hell out of people who think it says “HERNIA.”

  7. That quote of Joseph Heller was used a lot by a French journalist, Charb, he was part of the journalists that were shot in the first attacks that happened in Paris. It reminds me of the courage he had 🙂

Feel free to shout out!
