Quote Challenge for National Photography Month 2017 – Week 2 Results

Welcome to my Quote Challenge Week 2 results! If you missed my post in April, this is what I decided to do for National Photography Month

Here’s my challenge, and I’ll need your help, dear readers – please leave me one of your favorite quotes in the comment section below, and I’ll pair it with a picture I’ve taken. If you’re a blogger, be sure to leave a link as well, so I can give you a shout out. If you can’t think of anything this week, no worries – I’ll post results and ask for more quotes each Monday in May.

Thank you to everyone who has provided amazing words to pair with my pictures – I love doing this! I’m also pinning all the graphics on one of my Pinterest boards – please feel free to share them! Be sure to leave your own favorite quote in the comment section, and tune in again next week to see what I came up with.

Now, on to the graphics!

Quote Challenge Week 2. First, this is not a passive voice. Next, I am writing in an active voice. Therefore, my SEO will stop telling me how to write. Furthermore, these sentences are also shorter than twenty words. Rather, stop being so controlling. Especially since most of the sentences in this post are not mine. I will keep going while until you turn green. Quote Challenge Week 2. I can’t believe this is still orange. Finally, it has turned. Success! First, this is not a passive voice. 1. YAY! I didn’t end up going with the first picture I thought of (couldn’t find it), but I figured the cake the kids and I made for hubby’s most recent birthday was a decent second choice. Glad you love it all. 😀

  1. I love these posts – such a great idea! Here’s my all time favourite quote from Calvin & Hobbes, “There’s never enough time to do all the nothing you want.”

  2. From the ’50’s TV show The Honeymooners: When Ed & Trixie Norton’s apartment is being painted so they crash at Ralph & Alice’s teeny apartment.

    Ralph Kramden:

“That just kills me! The man spends all day working in the sewer, & he has to sleep down here because he can’t stand the smell of paint!”

  3. Another fabulous collection of quotes and beautiful photographs, Traci. Loved them all. Although I do know the source of my quote lol, yep, it’s me! Straight outta one of my books 😉

    1. Oh no! Shelley, I feel like such a dope not double-checking with you first! I’ve corrected the info in the post, and I’ll share the new graphic on Pinterest now. I should’ve known something so wise and wonderful had to come from you! Sorry about that! *hangs head*

      1. lol you’re not a dope (love that word!) It’s my fault for not telling you! Mind you, it is a very rare occurrence that anything wise comes out of my mouth so I understand hahaha ❤️

  4. I so wish the Wonder Woman underroos were real and not photoshopped 🙂 These are wonderful. You are fantastic at pairing the words to the best image.

  5. Beautiful! I love them all, but especially the smile one with the snowy sculpted face. And the cake. You have a real gift for this!

  6. These are great Traci! Very clever 🙂 I always love the quote: She may be little but she be fierce – Shakespeare. I like to pretend he wrote it about me 🙂

  7. Crumbs Traci, your photos are always excellent, but do you have some cyber attachment that takes them continuously??? I see loads on Instagram and all your posts and always amazing. You must take hundreds to get these! And quotes…love quotes, must do more myself 🙂

    1. LOL! Well Gary, for how often I have my camera in hand, I’m surprised it hasn’t melded with my arm. Thanks so much for your kind words, and I can’t wait to see what quotes you post on social media – always happy to steal… errr, borrow inspiration from you. *grin*

      1. I once did the three day quote challenge, but seem to have misplaced my quoting posts recently and got a bit behind. Have loads to catch up on now though Come on, how many shots do you take to get the ones you post lol

        1. I’d say on average, I take about 50 pictures a day. A good handful get deleted, a larger portion never see the light of day, and a few make their way to here, or to my other social media. Oh, and once a week, I email all my passably decent shots to our landlady (unfortunately, not in lieu of rent – LOL!).

          1. Wow, dedication to the art or what 🙂 Do you do anything outside of blogging with them? I’ve never really been much good at photography as such; although not really tried it properly in all honesty lol

            1. Dedication/obsession – same diff. LOL! I’ve sold a few products feature my photos (greeting cards, mugs, and even a comforter/pillowcase set!), but I haven’t devoted near enough time to it. Not enough hours in the day (especially give how often I’m roaming around outside – LOL!).

              1. Call it a bit of a side-line to the obsession then 🙂 I know what you mean though as selling requires time and if hours are already limited it gets way too much and something you enjoy becomes a blah. Outdoors is healthy too lol

  8. These are soooo cute and fun! Whenever I need to easily put some text and a picture together, I use an app called Word Swag. It’s super easy and you can add your own pictures as well as using stock photos they have. It might make this a little easier! 🙂

    1. Thanks so much, Nicole – both for the compliment and the suggestion! I’ve been using Canva to put these together, but I’ll definitely take a peek at Word Swag – can never have too many apps! LOL!

  9. Thank you for giving me a shout out. 🙂 I love that the super hero bird is Wonder Woman especially on a day like today. Happy Mother’s Day Traci

  10. Such a fab idea Traci! I guess you have plenty to keep you busy, but my favourite quote is by Hans Christian Andersen…

To move, to breathe, to fly, to float
To gain all while you give
To roam the roads of lands remote
    To travel is to live

    1. Thanks so much, Em! Always room for one more, and I LOVE that quote! I’ll definitely have something put together for tomorrow! 😀

Feel free to shout out!
